We've all been waiting to get back on our bikes after the long winter months. Luckily, here on the Sunshine Coast, we are fortunate enough to get going a little sooner than most. In celebration of this new riding season, amongst other things, the Capilano University Mountain Bike Operations program brings you the inaugural Roam the Loam, Sunshine Coast Bike Festival.

Our ride will take place on the 2.9 km Kager Lake Trail, north of Burns Lake.The Kager Lake Trail was upgraded during the summer of 2008 with the addition of crush. This trail proves to be a great riding experience for all!

Trail-building Workshop - October 25 & 26, 2008
The pre-conference trail construction seminar will be held on October 25th and 26th, 2008. The goal of this seminar is to bring people up to speed with current best practices for trail design and construction. Our guide for this event will be Mark Scmidt from IMBA Canada. Mark is a trail specialist and has lead dozens of trail clinics across Canada and the US.
